Update!

It has been forever since I last blogged! Not much has happened in our lives, but we have lots to update! In two months our little Leah should be here! We are so excited to have our little girl here! Time has gone by so slowly for the last seven months, and yet we still are not ready for Leah to come. All we have is just lots of cute pink clothes to dress her in! My pregnancy has been amazing! Other than my awful nine weeks of morning sickness, I feel very blessed! I've been able handle school, work, and my calling as RS president without getting too worn out! Tyler has also been super busy juggling two part time jobs that are pretty demanding and 18 credits! Tyler and I have sat down a lot lately and talked about what we are going to do about school and about our future and we have some great goals! As of now, I will be graduating in 5 weeks! I wil be able to finish up my degree this semester and be able to start my new job as a mommy, which will be hard, but so rewarding! Tyler will be finishing his degree in December, and we will both walk across the stage at the same time with our sweet little girl! I can't wait to get Leah a little graduation gown!! Tyler has decided to continue to get his masters in Rhetorical studies, which is the combination of philosophy and communications, which are two things Tyler LOVES. This program will help him in either path he decides to go on, whether it be in radio or as a professor. He has applied to Idaho State University and now we are just waiting for his acceptance letter. Because Tyler is such a smarty pants and has a 3.9 GPA, ISU does not require him to take the GRE, which saves us time and money! If everything goes according to plans, we will be moving to Pocatello in January! We both feel incredibly blessed right now in our lives! Even though our little Leah was not planned, we feel like Heavenly Father has helped us out so that we could provide her with the best life possible! I'm so thankful for my life and thankful for all of the wonderful support Tyler and I get from our family and friends!

Our New Home!!!

Married housing in Rexburg is about as competitive as trying to win the NBA finals! There are so many people that are getting married, and not nearly enough places to house everyone. Thankfully Tyler and I were able to get an apartment!! After looking around for the past two months, filling our application after application, and being put on three different waiting lists, we finally have an apartment at University Courtyard! This place will be perfect for Tyler and I because it is across the street from campus and a couple of blocks away from the Temple. We also have Tyler's amazing niece Emily and her husband Kirk (Tyler went to high school with Kirk... Tyler is a match maker just like me! ;) ) who also live there! This place is such a blessing for us, and we are excited to be able to spend the first part of our marriage here!

Cell Phones and my Wedding Shoes!!

Throughout my life I have only had a handful of embarrassing moments. Falling out of the car in front of the whole 7th grade, falling down the stairs in high school , and crying in front of my entire student body and their families are the only major events that I can recall being super embarrassed for, but on Tuesday I had the most embarrassing moment of my life!

Here at BYU-Idaho we have a testing center like many other universities. Before I enter the testing center I have a tradition of turning off my cell phone! Right before the proctors hand you the test they ask you if you have turned off your cell phone. Being honest I responded yes, but I was so wrong! My phone was pressed up against the side of my backpack and was turned back on while I was in the testing center! This would not have been a problem if my AMAZING and WONDERFUL fiance was not so faithful on calling me everyday at the same time! All of the sudden I heard a phone ringing and I thought, "Who's the looser who forgot to turn off their phone," and then my worst fear came true... that looser was me!!!!!!! My PHONE WENT OFF IN THE TESTING CENTER! The test proctors came and took my cell phone and gave me a sheet that said something like, "Your a looser and your phone went off in the testing center so HAHAHAHAHA!" (It didn't really, but that's how it felt!) I went back to finish my test and I was just shaking from head to toe!! I have NEVER been so embarrassed in my whole life!!

Today I received the happiest package in the mail I have ever gotten... MY WEDDING SHOES!! They are RED HOT and super sexy!! I'm really excited about them!! They will be pretty painful to wear for the whole day, but beauty is pain!! Tell me what y'all think!

Fall, Studying, and Weddings!!

Texas usually only has two seasons... summer and winter!! Recently I have discovered the season that exists in between these two seasons-FALL!! I never knew what Fall was like until Idaho! I love this time of year! The leaves are changing colors, apples are super cheap, and it is actually cold outside!!

Recently I have been completely consumed by studying! It never ends! There is always books to read and papers to write, but it helps me keep my mind off of how much I miss Tyler! Tyler lives about an hour away so we are only able to see each other on the weekends! His family is AMAZING for letting me come and stay with them for a couple of days ! I love being able to spend this time with them!

The past few weeks I have been working on applying to get on a program here at BYU-I called Fast Track. If you did not know BYU-I only lets you come to school for two semesters, but Fast Track allows you to attend all year long! Last week I was happy to find out that I was admitted to the Program!!! Now I will done with college in two years!! From the time I graduated from high school to the time I graduate from college it will be THREE YEARS!! I will also graduate the same time as Tyler!

Wedding plans are coming along great!! Thank you EVERYONE for all the help!! I could not have made this enormous decision without the help and support of my family! Only three more months!!!

I LOVE my roommates! They are all amazing! My roommates Lauren, Rachel and myself always go workout together which is super nice to have their support! Here is a picture of all six of us our first Sunday together! Ellie, Rachel and Nicole use to be in my Relief Society, Lauren was the other Relief Society president with me last semester and she is the most amazing roommate, and then Ashely is from Florida, we did not know her before, but we love her!!

Clean Checks

WARNING- KACEY's Complaining!!

I HATE CLEAN CHECKS!!!! Why give us the most stressful cleaning duties the week before finals? REALLY!! My roommates and I started cleaning Friday night around ten, and we did not finish until 8:30 the next morning! We had to stay up all night in order to finish everything they had on their stupid list! Who really needs to clean out an oven that was hardly used... or a moldy fridge!!! Tyler was a saint and helped us clean until curfew. He helped clean the stove and he helped me clean the cabinets! He is truly amazing, we were all so excited to have his help. All the girls who live on the top floor with me kept stopping by and saying how cute it was to have Tyler there helping us! Tyler was even helpful on entertaining us during the night! Now that clean checks are over it is time for finals!! I am sad about having to leave Idaho for seven weeks, but I am excited about going home and earning money! I miss working!! Only four more days of classes!
